Saying fond goodbyes
We’ve unfortunately had to see our outreach worker Donna Hollinshead, and our fitness guru Marie Halls, leaving us today. We wish both ladies all the best in their futures. Also, Ken Down has left the area manager role, but will remain 2 days a week to help us with our long term fund raising concerns.

Congratulations to all of our staff and volunteers who successfully completed the “Level 2 QCF First aid at work” exam at the Highfields centre today, provided by Lisa of S.C.V.Y.S. as part of the “Instruct UK FAA Certificate”. Heres a few shots from the event:
Massive thanks to the anonymous donor this morning who left a large pile of coins outside our shutter door. Your donation is very much appreciated and is a testament to the spirit of this community.
Loan PC scheme
We have now helped 12 of our Highfields clients get online at home through our loan PC scheme, primarily to enable them to access the new ‘Government Gateway’ system for job seekers. If you’d like to apply for help, or if you have usable PC’s, laptops, or parts that can be refurbished to issue into the community, please contact us
We had a great time at our Christmas celebration at Highfields, with songs, carols, prayer and crazy Jane Richards hosting “I’m a celebrity get me out of here”, some have still not recovered from eating chocolate covered sausages and strawberry sticks dipped in mustard! Good family fun!
We held a Christmas fayre at our Highfields Centre and raised over £100 for Signposts. Thanks to all those who took part. A great Christmas atmosphere!
Pyjama party in aid of Children in Need

Community fun day at Highfields
From time to time Signposts holds community events to bring the local community together and to enable fun, laughter and relationship building in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. In partnership with Rising Brook Church, we held an amazing community fun day at our Highfields centre, made even more enjoyable by the presence of 64 American volunteers from Birmingham, Alabama who had flown over for a week to take part in various acts of kindness across Stafford and Cannock. We enjoyed a really entertaining live band, bouncy castles, a football cage, a community play bus, face painting and most of all free “Boston Butt” pork baps cooked on the specially built “Smoker”.
